How did I ever ...

One year

Ive worked for exactly one year in my company today!
Grats me.

Busy.

Been back from KK for about 3 weeks now and got to say, got lots of things done. It is easier by making things harder.

Let me explain.

The last 6 months I have not achieved many things set out by myself to do. There may be a list circulating somewhere but it remained, until recently, not done.

By making things harder for myself, I made this possible. I admit now that I am a serial procrastinator. Whats some of the things I want to get done? Get fit, have more time to plan, to save money, and a handful of other random things. What stops me? Not enough time? Fine. What am I doing that takes most of my time? (think).....get rid of it? Impossible...but I guess temporarily might be doable to accomplish some goals. So I did. I left my laptop in Malaysia.

Suddenly in the last 3 weeks Ive been checking things of my list. Although not having a computer at home made it harder, I can still stare at it about 8 hrs a day at work. Now I manage more chores, make lunch for the whole week before the week begins, finished reading a book and about 10% into another one (I normally average 2 books a year, maybe 3). Made a sizable fixed deposit and bought my first car (100% my own savings) which is probably the biggest feat I will accomplish for a while. They say your car is your second biggest investment.

Oh, today I passed my driving theory test to convert my license. Got one question wrong about cyclists. Damn cyclist! Did not know they CAN ride abreast if LESS than 1.5m apart. Which is the width of a bike lane. Gah, I design bike lane pavement!

Living without a computer at home has seen me get less lazy at home. The opposite is true at work.

Short story challenge

So here's a thought, lets flex our creative minds a tad. So we often complain we dont have time to do things, have no inspiration, we're tired, ....(insert list here).

So let me slap this metal gauntlet across your face twice for good measure. Lets see some of the best short stories you can come up with. Before we go, ugh, that sucks...aha, behold its not just any short story challenge, its one of the hardest and easiest at the same time. Contradictory? Maybe, oxymoron? Certainly.

Me and Nanda went to Sono yesterday and had Japanese. The food was good (not the best), but the experience was good. Worth the money for a 2 hour trip to Japan.



Oh yeah, it was our 9 month anniversary. Eat that! our baby should be born right now. But Nanda says it will keep growing in her stomach. Hmmm....fishy....

Watching deathnote at the moment, up to about episode 10, gotta say, its awesome so far. Definitely worth it for anyone who sees themselves as the main character in their own storyline. Or in other words, a hate to lose egoist. Watch it. Its definitely not gay....so far.

Need new music

Any suggestions? Something that wont put me to sleep (catchy beat, good quality). Something not too catchy I cant do work.

Also, Im looking into buying a new car for about 12k. Ideally it would be a zippy medium sized car, 4 doors, auto, pref tinted windows (to preserve the interior of course), reliable and of course an extension of my personality. So far Ive looked at mr2s (2 door boOOooo), civics, accords, rx7s, mazda3 and integras.

Easter Break

Holidays are awesome. Sleeping 4-6 hrs a day for 5 days in a row and going to work after that is mind-numbing.

Lets see...we went fishing, gold coast for bowling and some arcade/laser skirmish action, Jason Mraz concert and some visiting some fine eateries to boot. My memory and gauge of time is the succession of memorable events.

Hazy days, calling out to you.

What a nostalgic feeling. SLeeping at 3am and waking up after lunch, having lunch and feeling the pangs of sleep creep up again. The whole day just eating and sleeping and when I get a motivated, it normally lasts just a few minutes. Haha, what working life has reduced me too.
Now I even have the sniffles after being caught in the rain. Awesome. Going to have dinner with Nanda's bro Eudo and the girls tonite. Its his birthday.

Deja vu

Deja vu moment, came back after a grueling 16 hours out today, sat and stared at my desktop and saw the video of anna kournikova had fully loaded up and realised, I had seen this moment before at the exact moment I smelled my rancid breathe.
