My new setup

...is very insane. So after you get over the wowww moment ..............



you may ask why?



and the answer is...plainly, to be awesome.



Why do people have three houses in three different countries? To be awesome.



Why do I need three monitors, 2 keyboards, ad 2 mouses, and numerous other devices. Well, besides hoarding it to myself. It means when Esther comes over we both can do work simultaneously instead of taking turns.


How about when Im solo? Well, The desktop has all the music still on it and is plugged to the big speakers, so that covers music and of course msn. (that takes 2 screens). And the laptop in the middle is the main work computer. Or I can have 2 charts up on he other monitors for easy reference. The possibilities are endless!



Also gotta thank Sing Yee for bringing pineapple tarts for me all the way from KK! OMG so nice! The birthday present also was too much lar! Haiyor u this! Thanks a mil!

Rainy Days

Apparently while typing this message my mouse cursor is moving on its own accord from the right to the left all by itself, weird....

I had a dream which woke me up. Im no sure of the sequence but here goes.

Im at someone's house and Im fixing up some toy figurines (like lego) and this friend of mine keeps coming in the room and throwing a ball or something and makes the pieces go everywhere. Thats okay, I fix things up again. And he comes in and does it again, and I fix it again. This happens, not once, not twice but five times. Im pretty patient, even in my dream.

This is when I slap my friend, and then he gets pissed off. This is when it gets weird, the friend's who I slap is the same character who thru the ball into the lego, but he is a different person now, but in the dream I still regard him as the one who messed up the lego on purpose. He tries to slap me back but apparently I dodge. I then have a brief talk with Esther about it (in the dream) about whats goin on, and in the next scene Im on a boat.

The waters are icy cold and there are numerous massive epic looking pillars which come out of the sea. On the pillars is a wide road like surface which has ramps with inclines so you can jump to the the next 'slide'.I think you were meant to ski across? On the middle of the pillar is another mode of transport where persons are on a roller coaster like machine flying from pillar to pillar. Just when our boat reaches near one, we see one of these roller coasters try to make a jump, but in the front theres fat dude and the jump..well, falls short.

THe ppl land on a small island of ice like 10 feet in front of us. On the island there is a couple of weird monsters ( I think they were green) which started to pick these these ppl up. Then we on the boat started to take pictures like: Wow this is so gonna go on youtube!

We forget that the monsters are pretty close and they catch us. The confiscate our cameras....lol.
I remember looking at my empty black leather camera case in dismay.

Next scene I'm in some holding facility in the courtyard, I guess we got caught. But here I'm thinking it was cause I slapped my friend that I'm in jail. Then suddenly some white coloured midget man passes me a cloth which has two stones inside it and runs off when a guards sees him. The guards asks to see turnover what I find. I remove the first stone praying it would be of some use. It appears to be a white stone which turns into a leaf with some white snow like material on it. A small goat appears from the bushes and eats some of the snow. Somehow I get on the small little goat, and it runs me to safety out of the gates (somehow I knew to get off and open the gates inwards instead of ramming thru it, in which it would not open!).

Next scene. The goat has disappeared and I'm running. I feel thru the cloth and find the second stone, its a white 8-sided stone with strange gold writings on it. Must be useful for later. I reach this underground car park and get a feeling I have been there before in a previous dream. Deja vu? Maybe. I see two ppl hurdled there who I think escaped when I did. I call out to them to help me, one of them is Helen from my university! Lol..so random.

Suddenly Im at this keyboards trying to open the secret passage way. It has three sets of keys. For three passwords you have to enter all correctly. I seem to know the answer but keep hitting the wrong buttons. The date 4th or 14th of Mar 1984 seems to be the answer. So the first keypad should be 1-4-t-h. The second should be 0-3. And the third simply 1-9-8-4. But I keep mucking up the numbers. Winnie my friend even makes an appearance and tries to key it in, she then screws it up too and sits down and starts doing yoga! I think I try like 10 times to hey in a number I'm so sure I know, but keep missing the keys and hitting a wrong number and I get so frustrated that I wake up!

Any ideas whats going on in my subconscious?

Mamak Nite and Noir

Thursday - Mamak Nite organized by MSO, was a great success! Great choice of venue, great ppl, awesome good and even greater turnout. Well what can I say, 3 bucks for all you can eat is a steal! Except for me, I didnt pay, cause a high 5 seemed enough to gain entrance.



Me and Emily, managed to spot her in the crowd. Im not really looking at the camera aren't I. At least you can see the contents of my plate which is why I took the picture of course. Rice (duh~), chicken curry, roti canai, and ayam goreng...yum...and even took seconds...for a whopper of zero bucks cause im a lifetime member! AWE-SOMEH!



Friday Nite, Noir Dance Party at Docks Hotel on Harbourside Darling Harbour. It was packed to the roof. Well there was no roof level, but packed is the word. This is Abang Ve making his impressions, he looks hella like Bert from sesame street eh? By the way, Noir (No-wa^r) means black in French for those interested.

My first cousin Camille (my mum's youngest brother's daughter) is in one, I thought Id be scouring to find her, but damn she appears in the first few seconds! Im mighty proud, I have not seen her for like 8 years and she was really shy back then, and still seems so to me. But enough talk here it is (shes the one in yellow with the roller blades):

Sublime Subway

Had the longest of Tuesdays, class started at 9am and I was finishing a hand in till 2am in the morning, was about three before I finally nodded off.

Its late.

9:13pm on my watch.

I ask Boon to drop me at the nearest Subway, Im craving some fast food, although healthy fast food is the better opt.

I walk in and see an old man talking to a awkward Caucasian red head who is getting his sub ready. I walk nearer to the counter and divert my attention to the overhead menus.

Another 'sub-maker' emerges from the back room, appears to be a dark skinned girl with thin hair. Either local black, or third generation Filipino, I cant tell. She says hi.

"Gimme a sec" and I continue scanning the menus.

"Your Malaysian"she says out of the blue.

"...how did you ...how did you o that?" my interest peaked.

"I have a friend...he talks exactly like you".

I think to myself, I say 2 words and she reads me like an open book.

"You must spend too much time together" I smirk.

She looks up in contemplation and shrugs a maybe.

"Hehe, only white bread left"

"Yeah, guess Ill have that then"

"So I guess Im making you dinner now?"

"Indeed, long day today..9 to 9"

"You go to UNSW?"

"Nice guess, but its an educated one since New South is the nearest uni"

"Ha, yeah"

She chit some chat and reach the paying portion on the subway experience.

"You want some cookies with that?"

"Nah...."

"On the house."

"In that case...."

I ended up getting 2 free cookies and a the perfect subway which didnt spill which I could eat out of the wrapper while walking home. But the most amazing thing is how she guessed my origin in 3 words, and I doubt "Gimme a sec " counts as being very Malaysian. Whats more is when people guessed my origin the last 3-4 times I remember, they all say American cause of the amount of TV English I use. Ha!

In other news, my sister got chosen for National Service. You key in your IC on a site then it tells you: Tahniah, anda telah di.... My sister was like, dammit! As if its the lottery!
My parents trying to get her out of it, but who knows it could be a blessing! Could lose 20 kilos and gain a killer tan....in Johor.

Boon's birthday and Steamboat on the next day

Weekend seemed short cause it was filled with things to do. First was Boon's birthday which was a dinner at Nick's in King Street Wharf then a drinking session at his place, then there was steamboat dinner at Teri's place.

So this is Winnie, shes a good friend from Hong Kong who I met in foundation, I dont know whats shes doing in this picture but it seemed necessary to put it up. And no, she does not learn kung fu.

Our resident tukang cuci-es. :P Shairah and Hazalea! haha! They are sisters(3 years difference) but after living together for too long, they now finish each others sentences so I regard them as a unit. So if yo ask one a question, expect to get the 2 answers.

Derek: So Shairah, when's Justin Timberlake's concert?
Hazalea: Its in Acer Arena...
Shairah: ...tickets are on sale on the 21st of August but Im not sure the exact date of the concert.

Boon's birthday was mainly the old MSO-2006 gang. We havent seen each other collectively for like almost a year. Everyones doing different things now and it was good to see most of them again, just like old times.

First Cut

This is actually the second blog I created this week, you can visit the other one in the links section with the picture of the Big Guy with the battleaxe.

So Im being more creative, Im learning 2 songs on the keyaboard which Im happy to do since I havent learned a new song in like 6 years. Im very rusty, Im still amazed I can learn although my sight reading is still terrible.

Whats happening? So Saturday going down to Nick's Bar & Grill for Boon's 22nd birthday and his home after that for drinks, although he does not know about this yet. Sunday the Taylors gang are doing a steamboat in Hazalea's house, so that should be awesome.

Things Im proud of today? I took out the garbage and the recyclables...one day late, the garbage truck came this morning. Oh well :(

Mood? Lazy and Tired, yet knowing I should get a head start on this hand in due on Tuesday.

Songs good to listen to? Anberlin- Naive Orleans.

Awesome quote? It may not be the way I intended to go, but at least its the where I intended to be.

Accomplishments? Finished Champions:Call to Arms for PS2 on easy mode.

Need to? Do some home work and buy a present for Boon.

I recently read a blog of a friend of a friend about his circumcision experience and it was an awesome read. I loved how he imagined a girl's period when he looked down to see what was going on between his own legs during the 'operation'. The term changing from turtle neck to crew cut was an instant gold moment as well. Kudos.

I know Ive talked about so many different things, which breaks one of the top 10 rules of blogging, but randomness is the feeling at the moment.
