I was sick yesterday. Everyone asked and I did my best to explain what I had done that day and the day before.

How sick? I couldn't eat, I couldn't drink. I threw up like 3 times and had an asthma attack at 5am in the morning. I even had a temperature of 38 degrees so I popped some meds.

So what did I do, I slept, woke up, watched Battlestar Galactica which is awesome! and slept some more after feeling light headed. Ate 2 bowls of porridge the whole day, after giving up on eating the leftover curry and some breakfast bars.

Indeed, good times are short and far apart.

Three Bells

Ive heard the sound of three bells this year.
Each different, in chime and audacity.

I cherished each sound each day I heard,
Them play their single tone.

The first bell was bold and confident you could say,
It seemed to listen, every word spoken.
Mysterious and cunning the bell portrayed,
Left me down and broken.

The second bell was from a distant land,
Imported for its soothing and exotic tone.
Years passed, but alas the day came, my friend,
When I left the bell to atone.

The third and final bell,
was the smallest and had the highest chime of all.
This bell stood high in the tower, unreachable.
This bell caused me the greatest fall.

Something different now I fear,
I seem to miss these sounds.
For now I strain and strain but never hear,
The sounds of these bells that I held, oh so dear.

So day 3 was 'fun' in a sense I had something to do. Paired up with Stuart who explains everything really well and I can sense the effortless patience from someone pretty young. Before I know it 4pm. Laze around for an hour then buggered off. Oh, and tomolo got site visit, how kewl?

Im cooking tonite, hope it turns out okie. Stir fry beef and bak choy anyone?

Day 2 was prety craptucular. This job bites so far.

All I look forward to is anything after work. So met up with Lene after like 4 phonecalls cause Im so lost and we kept changing the venue. Lets stick to Hungry Jacks okie.

On the way home this girl groped my ass and said she wished it was meatier and it wasnt soft. Opinions? I thought my solid hard deriere was in prime condition myself. It does its job.

Sooooo...

First day of work was I was feeling kinda anxious. I tried my best to be friendly and I think the sufficient amount of sleep the previous night helped...til about lunch time...ugh, so sleepy.

Met like 15 persons, remember almost all the first names, so its lucky everyone is on first name calling basis. Its also cause I write it down which helps me remember.

So they got me to fill in my forms most of the morning, lunch was with this other newbie called Matthew and is friend Pat who was working there for 6 months. Im working in Arup btw.

Afternoon was such a drag, just reading manuals and when it comes to 4pm, the clock just slows down like never before. Then theres this impressing your boss by leaving late thing. I dont believe in it, if theres nothing to do, I wont stay. Matt leaves at 4:40pm with Pat. I wait another 20 minutes, then do out the back after saying bye to some of my new neighbours. SOme random guy says "Stay a bit longer mate" FUck him!

I had a deja vu moment at the train station where I was walking in my work clothes and pasing the newsagent at central station. Its weird, but I think I had that image in a dream once. Deja vu moments happen a lot to me.

I fall asleep on the train, and its a 7 minute ride. I come home, have a shower straight away, btw its so hot here in Brisbane. Like 30-35 degrees.

On the way home Im just happy to get out. Guess work is not shaping up to what Id hope it would be. Gotta change my mind set. Walking home i even was talking to myself. something bout macho emo and cute emo. ROfl. Im very tired.

New Year 2008

Holidays started pretty simple, I guess to the point where you could say it was on the verge of expected as a routine set in. Things recently are not so clear as lines are blurred and as we move into the next set challenges, choices and long term plans. Things are not as they seem to me, things once crystal clear, now dimmed by my fading eyesight. Sometimes it can be said that adults have adult problems and I guess now is time to learn to grow up. People change, you learn what makes you complete, or think you do. I guess deep in the back of my mind Ive always schemed in some ways, but I have also held back on numerous occasions and I believe thats what molds my being. Ive learned some things which I want to be, some things I dont, and somethings I cant stand. You cant always stop the bad from happening, but Ill do what I can. So I guess theres two things I can try, believe that with knowledge of the Lord, I can achieve infinity and by putting some thought and effort, more can be accomplished.

Fact and Fiction.

I would like to believe I did my best to entertain friends while I was back, but I do have doubts. I always try not to regret, but I guess my being holds me back at some point when the deed outweights my character. I like to have fun, but sometimes my mind races, its wrong to entertain? The cost sometimes is very great, but sometimes the hard choices are made. Theres this great lyric from an "Atomic Kitten" song : " A moment's pain for a lifetime's pleasure". I guess as a guideline it will hold true.
