“An anonymous text says that each person, during his or her life, can adopt one of two attitudes: building or planting. Builders can take years to finish their tasks but one day they do finish and then they are hemmed in by their own walls. Life loses its meaning once the building is over. Those who plant may suffer storms and can rarely rest, but the garden never ceases to grow, and although it requires the constant attention of the gardener, it also allows life to be a great adventure. In the history of each plant is the growth of the whole earth.” - Paulo Coelho

I think I am a builder with planter tendencies. To break away from myself would be to take more risks, and with more risks, more loss. Failure the road to love?

Did you know?

Did you know that true love asks for nothing?
True love dont want a thing.
Her acceptance is the way we pay.

The third pledge

I made 3 pledges this year. They are written on my wall where i sit and toil everyday to remind me what I need accomplish within the next few months. Anyway for the third one, Im to be 60kg by December (roughly 1kg per month since I started). For those who dont know, Ive been 51-52kg for a long time. So putting on 20% body mass is something unheard of in my vocabulary.

So once every two days I do my routine changing here and there if the body part still aches. Bicep curls, lifts, static weights, allevated push ups, sit ups, crunches and weighted lunges.

Yesterday I aimed to do 150 sit ups/crunches in under 15 minutes. I did 90 is about 10 minutes(9 reps of 10, and today everytime I sneezed, my insides hurt like %*$^*#!

Pushups I can do about 32 straight. Max Ive done is about 70-80 over time, but the aim is still 60 in 60 seconds.

Sunday going paintball.weeee~~~~ pew pew pew

Looking forward to Alan and Stan coming over over the next few weeks. Should be good.

Oh and Im going back to KK on 28th June!

Plus I might drop by Brizzy for 3 days to say hi on the way back.

Oats with honey is fastastic!

May 12, 2008

Ive been having cereal for breakfast for the last year. Considering how important breakfast is, the first meal after 8-20 hours of not eating is essential to learning and to keep the brain functions optimum, not to mention discourage stomach rumbling and acids eating you from inside out.

So whats all this hype about new breakfast regime? Well, after going coco pops, sultana brand, K, crunchy nut, frosties and the like( insert random up&go flavour here). What else was there to a fast Australian breakfast? Yeah you guessed it. Microwaved oats with honey and milk. Breakfast of champions. Sure you'd think its baby food or old peoples food, but damn it makes you big and strong, or healthy and slim if your a chick, its smart food. fo shizzle.

1. shake oats into cereal bowl
2. top with milk as you would cereal.
3. nuke in microwave for 1 min
4. you can let it stand, but i think its just nice, add some honey and swirl.
5. Profit!

Ballywood

May 05, 2008

So me and Ming went to have indian food at the shops near the cinema. They had this DVD playing on the flat screen which I soon figured was a compilation of the best scenes from pretty recent HD bollywood films. Great settings, grassy fields in the alps, running fancy free in NY, love making in a gorgeous private glass house in the hills, etc. For some reason the logo on th program said Ballywood. Anyway, Ive seen some of these in my day when my sis had a kakak called Elizabeth, and she told me the good guy was called the 'starring' and the bad guy was called the 'penjahat' . Later I found out she could not read, so I guess someone told her, and she could not speak Tamil,so I guess....anyway...

The actresses in these films looked really good, they have really evolved from what I used to see 10 years ago, they looked really good (some a little over dolled up in make up), but they were fit, bucksom, and they knew their craft. What has changed most is that I dont remember love scenes (they get down to the sheets covering essentials) and even lip lock. Most of them were fair northern indians with really sharp features, they might even be mixed caucassian. But ever so gracefully they tease the camera. Good use of water to enchance body features as well (oh wet hair is so sexy), the guy loves kissing and practically eats the girls neck while she feigns blissfull looks into the camera which looked pretty intense.THe art of moving about looking graceful in slow mo, while maintaininf 1 cm of lip distance from each other is a craft. I pretty muched watched it for 40mins, and the DVD was running 2:50 already. Hmmm....

Something about nothing

The best thing you can do when you have free time is think. Think about your next move, an idea, build on inspiration and give the cogs some momentum. Freedom is my bane, I accomplish absolutely zilch. Mid semester of the last semester and Im hating it. Hate is a strong word, and I cant mean it more. What can we do after the last straw has been pulled? Lets leave the question hanging, we have to live in the questions sometimes to get to where we got to go next.

Hope? In abundance. Patience? Growing thin.
